Cash And Carry Recycled Building Supplies: How To Get And Move What You Buy

Posted on: 18 October 2017

A great way to save money on building supplies is to purchase them from a recycled building supply store. They are inexpensive, and you can see exactly what you are getting for your money. The only problem you will have is that these stores are often cash-and-carry businesses.

They want customers to buy and remove their items from the store quickly. Some of them are generous enough to give you up to three days for large purchase items, but after that, you void what you spent and the store can resell it to someone else. To get you out of this sticky situation and still help you get what you want, the following solutions are provided.

Moving Truck Rentals

With any luck, there is probably a moving truck rental company right around the corner from the recycled building materials store. You can make your purchase on the first day, and be able to rent a moving truck on that day (or the next two days) to pick up your purchase. If the moving truck place is really close, you could drop your car within sight of the recycling materials store, pick up your purchases, drop your purchases at home, and then bring the truck back to the store and drive home, all within about a couple of hours.

Moving Trucks with Extra Muscle

If you purchased used kitchen cabinetry, wholesale appliances, tub liners, or anything else particularly heavy, you are going to need some extra help. Some moving companies will provide you two muscle-bound movers with extra muscle to spare. The estimate for the time you need the truck and the movers is based on the length of time you think it will take to load your purchases onto the truck and drop them off at your house. Two-, three-, and four-hour blocks of time are common for these types of moving projects, but you can rent the truck and borrow the help for longer if you need them.

Box Truck Rentals

If you got a little carried away with all the deals in the recycled building materials store, and you bought a lot more than you intended, you may need to rent a box truck. Additionally, if you bought anything that has glass in it or another breakable material, a box truck will provide better protection for your purchases. Then you can get started on that renovation or remodel project a lot sooner than you had hoped.
